Matt Varga Women’s footwear remains in focus in Beaverton, and in the opening months of 2025, none loom larger than the Air Max Muse. The silhouette, intentionally created without reference to previous Air Max models, has already teed off with its “Metallic Silver” colorway, but there’s plenty more where that came from, including the “White/Metallic Silver” edition just unveiled.
Evoking that stealthier edition is illustrative, as this shoe ssentially presents as a lighter inversion of its layout. Obviously pure white leather takes over where jet black once wass, but the same chrome-coated overlays remain in place in between. The one divergence is the swatches of mesh that take over the quarter and toe-box, here adding some visual contrast in off-white.
Looking past the chosen hues, the design choices that make the model such an attention-grabber remain so in this application, from the cocked Air Bubble in the heel to the curved cut-outs in the overlays towards the toe.
The Nike Air Max Muse “White/Metallic Silver” is expected to release in time for Spring/Summer 2025, likely carrying the same $160 retail price.
