A third-generation take on the beloved OG.

The Nike Air Max DN8 Borrows Iconic “Hyper Blue” From The Tn

As we shift from the 2025 Jordan Releases calendar into Beaverton’s efforts, the full-court press around bring-backs and highly-anticipated retros belies similar energy towards innovation and Nike’s favorite word, “newness.” The Nike Air Max DN8 represents one of the first debuts to fully capitalize on that concept, pushing the envelope first drafted by the Air Max Dn in 2024. With both the silhouettes owing so much to the Air Max Plus, it’s only right that we’re getting a look at the Air Max DN8 borrowing its “Hyper Blue” gradient.

Note that the Dn also attempted this same thing, making it even less of a surprise that the oceanic gradient and black trim combination reappear for Spring 2025. What is notable, however, is how early into the DN8 lifespan this comes. Those who stuck with us throughout 2024 will know that the “Dynamic Air” model kept things to simplistic, two-tone arrangements in its first months on the shelves, only truly delving into borrowed colorways and experimental looks after several months. Perhaps a muted reaction to those easily digestible looks prompted Nike to up the ante earlier — well-placed if so, because this is one of the more arresting colorways for the Air Max DN8 so far.

The Air Max DN8 in “Hyper Blue,” as well as the model’s market debut in general, is expected in the coming weeks. Our Sneaker Release Dates page will keep you up to date with the latest info — in the meantime, enjoy retail images embedded below.
