The Nike Air Flightposite Is Back In “Triple Black”

The iconic hoops shoe from the Swoosh is as futuristic as ever.

The Nike Air Flightposite Is Back In “Triple Black”

All-Black-Everything is the vibe for 2025. With the upcoming release of the New Balance 9060 “Black Cat” and the looming drop of its pseudo-successor Black Cat 4s, the monochromatic black continues to be a hot trend through sneakers across all categories. This upcoming retro release of the Air Flightposite One is no exception as it surfaces in its own murdered-out stance.

Set to drop this Spring 2025 season, the Flightposite basketball shoe boasts the Swoosh’s ground-breaking foam-molded upper, inner bootie system, and zipper enclosure. All of these design and performance elements were way ahead of their time, and even in 2025, that perpetual futurism doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.

Unlike an earlier sample that surfaced in 2024, this pair of Flightposites is truly all-black from the pull-tabs at the ankle down to the rubber outsoles. These are even reminiscent of 2014’s Air Flightposite One “Carbon Fiber”, which fixed the lightweight composite on the exterior of the shoes.

A firm release date has yet to be revealed, but the shoes are dropping this Spring 2025 season for $240 at select retailers only.
