Greyscale coloring sets the tone up top.

The ASICS GEL-NYC Works In “Infrared” Accents

It was two years ago that Angelo Baque’s streetwear brand AWAKE NY introduced the world to the ASICS GEL-NYC. We’ve since seen the Sportstyle model become increasingly popular among the tech runner crowd, carving out a spot in the ASICS catalog alongside other trending models like the 1130, GT-2160, and GEL-Kayano 14. New colorways for Spring 2025 will ensure the model stays at the forefront of consumer consciousness, the latest of which comes to us in versatile “Gravel Black.”

A greyscale color palette anchors the delivery, starting first with light grey mesh across the base. Dark grey leather underlays come next, followed by a black suede mudguard that transitions down into the midsole. ASICS then brings “Infrared” to the GEL cushioning capsules underfoot, matching the accent hits on the tongue logo and lateral ASICS branding.

The GEL-NYC “Gravel Black/Infrared” lands Spring 2025 and will be available via the ASICS website and retailers. Scroll through the official image gallery below if you’re considering copping.
