It’s sadly becoming more and more of a reality: we’re in the last stages of LeBron James’ illustrious career. While the end of an era creeping closer is affected primarily from the sports side, his lifetime deal with Nike makes us wonder about what the post-retirement strategy for his signature line will look like.

Will it include the cost-conscious takedown models he’s maintained throughout? Will the Witness line in particular march on after the King’s playing days are done? All questions worth pondering, but we know for sure that the most recent model, the LeBron Witness 8, will continue to release colorways for the short term. The “Guava Ice” edition that just hit the newswire does plenty to achieve that, relying on the black and pink(ish) formula that brought his previous shoes hits, with a a pair like the LeBron 9 “Miami Nights” standing out in that crowd.

As a general release, don’t expect a firm release date for the Nike LeBron Witness 8 “Guava Ice,” instead likely appearing on Nike.com sometime in the near future. The standard $110 retail price will apply to this colorway.
