We don’t say this in a pejorative manner, but it’s clear that the New Balance 1500 is no longer at its early 2010s sneakerhead relevance. Perhaps the Salehe Bembury collaboration is a signal that the Boston brand has eyes on it as hyped proposition again, but there’s still plenty of cultural cachet the model holds onto even without it.

The New Balance 1500 Made In England “Navy” is a perfect exemplar of that appeal, tapping into hardcore NB purists who ride with the brand for its excelling quality and everyday style rather than simple trendiness. Like all Flimby product, pigskin leathers and textured suede coat this shoe, capitalizing on a simplistic palette of deep aquatic blue on the overlays and a pure white collar.

The New Balance 1500 “Navy” should hit stockists in short order, carrying a fittingly premium $210 price tag upon arrival.
