The Nike Dunk Low Borrows A Look From The Air Jordan 1

Similarities between the Air Jordan 1 and Nike Dunk are well-documented at this point, both of Peter Moore’s designs sharing the same retro basketball design language. However, given that each entity is handled by different teams in Beaverton, interplay between the two is usually reserved for holidays or other special occasions. Without any particular ties, the two silhouettes are joining hands for Spring 2025, as the Dunk in “Midnight Navy” greatly resembles a past AJ1.

We’ll give up the game — it’s the “Obsidian” that looms large in our minds, sharing the navy lace and toe overlays and a similar “Light Armory Blue” collar. Nubuck materials on that rear section marks the biggest divergence, but in broad strokes the appeal of that late 2010s pair lives on with this Dunk Low application. Ironically, that 2019 release is already confirmed for a return in 2025 via the Jordan 1 Low OG “Obsidian” tabbed for March. Though only preschool sizes have been loaded at the time of this writing, expect a full range of family sizing when this pair releases.

Speaking of, anticipate a Spring 2025 launch for the Nike Dunk Low “Midnight Navy/Light Armory Blue,” likely carrying the typical $115 price tag in adult sizing. Catch a complete gallery of images below and watch our Sneaker Release Dates page for further updates on this pair’s arrival.
