This All-Star Weekend is a full-throated celebration of the Air Jordan 1 for Beaverton, with two confirmed releases (the Air Jordan 1 “Bred” and the Jordan 1 “Black Toe Reimagined”) and a potential third (the Union Jordan 1) that’d truly catapult things into the stratosphere. However, on a relative subterranean level, Mike’s first signature continues to pay dividends via less hyped, more accessible product, something that the Air Jordan 1 Mid has elucidated all throughout its life.

As mentioned in the title, “Smoke Grey” and “Obsidian” is the prompt here, utilizing the everlasting “Black Toe” color-blocking to interpret those two primary shades. That classic starting point is only bolstered by the all-leather build on display here, particularly suitable in that initial official images depict this shoe in grade school sizing, no doubt a fitting recipient of a shoe that’s easier to keep in solid condition.

Though this first shots only show kids sizing, this has all the trappings of a family shoe, so adult pairs shouldn’t be too far behind. Regardless, though, expect the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Smoke Grey/Obsidian” to hit Nike.com and partnering shelves in the near future.
