Original article published February 20th, 2025: As the full scope of the Jordan Brand’s 40th anniversary gets fleshed out, certainly the Air Jordan 5, 4, and 1 stand as significant pressure points regarding what we’ll see released. However, don’t sleep on the Air Jordan 3, which is expected to line the shelves with a number of new looks through 2025. One specifically crafted for women has now appeared with a set of first-look images, the Air Jordan 3 “Sail/Cement Grey.”

At least in these initial shots, the colorway is relatively easy to understand, a heavy dose of “Sail” leather accented by metallic flairs through the sole and on the elephant print. Those heel and forefoot sections are particular points of intrigue, swapping matte leather for a reflective, foil-like counterpart that adds the eye-catching appeal we’ve come to expect from women’s Jordans.

In that category, this sort of shimmering, lifestyle-minded look has been a reliable well of inspiration. Even limiting the scope only to 2024, the Air Jordan 4 “Metallic Gold,” Air Jordan 12 “Phantom,” and Air Jordan 6 “Paris Olympics” each executed similar theming. Swapping over to the men’s side, there’s an obvious comparison to the Air Jordan 3 “Cement Grey” from that same year, both in name and their reliance on the titular steely grey shade.

The Air Jordan 3 “Sail/Cement Grey” is expected to release on April 23rd as a women’s exclusive, retailing for $200. You can catch a few additional detail shots included in the gallery below.
