Matt Varga Wacko Maria clearly has a type. The Japanese imprint has brought its signature animal print to several footwear brands so far, from Nike to Converse to Vans, beginning their footwear journey in around 2020. The whole way through, they’ve tapped some of each company’s most low-key offerings; the Blazer, the Slip-On and the Chuck 70 are just some of the models they’ve brought their touch to. It’s only fitting then that as Wacko Maria joins up with Reebok for the first time it’s the Club C on tap.
You can immediately spot (no pun intended) the major change that Wacko Maria brings to the silhouette, swapping the classic leather liner for plush leopard print. Elsewise, across a black and a white colorway, the shoe’s traditional composition is largely left to speak for itself. The one exception comes with the branding window, pasting red, white and yellow underneath the Reebok logo, further driven home with a custom co-branded insole.
The Wacko Maria Reebok C collection releases on February 28th at 10 AM EST via Reebok.com, WACKO MARIA in-store locations and at partnering retailers. Retail for both pairs is set at $140.
