With every collaboration, Salehe Bembury reinforces his title as the busiest man in the sneaker industry. On top of new Crocs shoes and an eventual PUMA basketball model, his New Balance portfolio for 2025 includes two takes on premium MADE In UK silos. Following the release of his New Balance 1500, the New Balance 991v2 is next in line for a playful touch-up.

Salehe teased the project all the way back in August of 2024, giving us a first look at a purple hairy suede design featuring on-brand multicolor accents. The new image set below comes to us from an eBay listing, which might hint that a release is right around the corner. Notably, the “Aged Well” Joe Freshgoods 992 first emerged in the same way.

We spilled plenty of ink about the sneaker itself upon getting a first look, but what’s notable here is the nickname; “Colors Be The Palette” can be spotted on the shoebox.

Neither Salehe nor New Balance have announced firm release information at the time of this writing, but as mentioned, we’ll likely have some info to share soon. Keep our Sneaker Release Dates page handy for any and all updates.
