Original article published February 26th, 2025: At this point, A Ma Maniere is entering territory as a Jordan Brand collaborator that few have ever touched. After delivering the most expansive collection this side of “The Ten” in 2024, their momentum isn’t slowing in 2025. New takes on the Jordan 3 and an end-of-year Jordan 6 will come in close proximity to two A Ma Maniere Jordan 5 releases — one is now coming into clear view with first-look images.
While getting a tangible preview is newsworthy, the “White/Violet Ore/Burgundy Crush/Black” arrangement here shouldn’t come as a shock for Jordan collectors. It functionally appears as a “reverse” flip of the brand’s “Dusk,” with the additional “White/Diffused Blue” colorway reported in 2024 presenting color code comparisons to the “Dawn” pair. Perhaps we can expect a similar concept to play out with these two 2025 editions.
More generally, the quilted interior, cloudy net window at the quarter panel, and drop shadow branding all align with the A Ma Maniere aesthetic that James Whitner and co. have cultivated on plenty of additional models. Their Air Jordan 12 and Air Jordan 1 each carry similar tonality to the colorway seen here.
