The New Balance 1500 Made In UK Carries A Sophisticated “Smoked Pearl”

The stealthy pair currently evades US release.

The New Balance 1500 Made In UK Carries A Sophisticated “Smoked Pearl”

While the latest Salehe Bembury New Balance collaboration may have raised its profile here in the United States, the New Balance 1500 has been a superstar across the pond, dotting plenty of Made In UK collections throughout the years. Flimby’s production of the model hasn’t slowed a bit in recent years, either, and a fresh blacked-out pair with “Smoked Pearl” accents is now stepping out of the shadows.

As with much of the product coming from New Balance’s English arm, this isn’t a particularly wild or experimental edition. Instead, refined, easily-worn style is in the spotlight, capitalizing on the neutral home base the brand has lingered around in for decades with deep black pigskin overlays and rich steel grey underpinnings.

The New Balance 1500 “Black/Smoked Pearl” has already dropped via select overseas outlets, but a stateside New Balance release still eludes us at the time of writing. Expect this pair making its way to the US sometime in the coming months, retailing for $250 upon arrival.
