Brands across the landscape have pulled retro running silhouettes from their archives in response to Y2K trends, and Saucony is no different. Towards the end of 2024, the Boston brand dipped into their 1990s catalog to revive the Grid Jazz 9, a silhouette that with open knit mesh, metallic overlays and deep line-work throughout is a perfect embrace of the still-dominant wave. All of that is particularly hard to ignore when they roll trendy looks on the Saucony Grid Jazz 9 like the electric yellow and neon pink pairs featured here.

As mentioned, each of these colorways print color-blocking that’d be perfectly at home on other brands’ techy silhouettes like the Vomero 5 or New Balance 1906R. While it is well-trodden territory, it’s a savvy play to ease the silhouette onto the market with a formula already proven to work. The silhouette’s presence will only grow as other initiatives getting cooking, including the latest Jae Tips Saucony collab — his “I Love You But I’m Busy” is set to take over the silhouette in the coming months.
