Broody “Dark Team Red” Coats The Nike Air Pegasus Wave

The Pegasus line is one of the more storied in Nike’s history. First introduced with the original in 1983, the mythically named running lineage is now spread far beyond that initial performance purpose, still maintaining it with the Pegasus 41 but also presenting a souped-up lifestyle edition in the Pegasus Premium and a retro embrace in the Pegasus 2k5. Midway through 2024, the Swoosh again iterated on its own history with a futuristic take, appearing again with the Nike Air Pegasus Wave “Dark Team Red.”

Representing a “branch” in the timeline, shooting off from the 2k5 retro, the Wave model maintains a similar skeleton and overall tooling package, but almost makes a caricature of the Pegasus’ panelling up top. A TPU quarter cage, tactile mesh cushioning that pokes through cut-out overlays and a heavy dose of metallic tones help the silhouette refract Y2K stylings with a particular eye modern trends. In this “Dark Team Red” arrangement, the Pegasus Wave marks a bold contrast look, diverging from a staid “Cool Grey” upper with the sanguine sole unit underfoot.

Expect the Nike Air Pegasus Wave “Dark Team Red” to hit Nike.com and retail shelves in short order, carrying a $150 retail price. Catch official images included below and watch our Sneaker Release Dates page for further updates on when this pair will materialize.
