Nike Is Retroing The Original GT Cut Basketball Shoe

The success of Nike’s “Greater Than” serious shouldn’t be a shock to anyone tapped in to basketball shoes, particularly when it comes to the GT Cut. Casual and pro hoopers alike are head-over heels about the mid-cut silhouette, and evidently the Swoosh has heard your calls. In a wholly unexpected move, the original GT Cut is returning to the shelves for a bonafide retro, listed on SNKRS and via retail channels for an April 4th bring-back in its “Pink Flash” colorway.

We’ll emphasize again: seeing a silhouette return to the shelves just three years after its initial release is an unconventional move to say the least. However, dig into the grey market data to see the demand which Beaverton is tapping into for this drop. The “Think Pink” GT Cut at hand has seen its average grey market price hover around double retail since its 2022 launch, while other OG editions can command almost $600. Safe to say, feelings towards the model far exceed what we’ve used to for any recent inline basketball model, likely prompting the equally unorthodox play from Nike.

Continuing the legacy of “Kay Yow” colorways, the Nike GT Cut “Pink Flash” maintains the requisite dose of rosy shades throughout its upper, revitalized one-to-one for this 2025 version. You can additionally expect the same tech package, highlighted by dual cushioning achieved with a drop-in React midsole paired with an rear Air Zoom unit and strobel.

As mentioned above, the Nike GT Cut “Think Pink” is queued up for April 4th via SNKRS. Retailers like Foot Locker have the shoe primed for a further April 17th launch. Regardless of where you scoop yours up, expect a $180 retail price.
