With the “Rare Air” series set to debut this weekend with the duet of gender-exclusive Air Jordan 1s, Jordan Brand is now preparing the launch of the more coveted of the short-lived series — the Air Jordan 3 “Rare Air”. The Air Jordan 3 “Rare Air” is marked by a Black/Chile Red/Neutral Grey/Military Blue/Coconut Milk colorway spec, matching the upcoming Air Jordan 4 of the series. However, the similarities end there: the Jordan 3s go with a classic tumbled leather in black, matching last year’s epic Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” release. The model’s key detail, the elephant print at the toe-guard and the heel, have been completely removed in favor of a smooth suede in Neutral Grey. Hits of Coconut Milk on the midsole and the heel plate exude an aged aesthetic that has yet to depart from sneaker trends.
