First Look At The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Self Expression”

Straight out of the Nike SB playbook of Air Jordan 1 crossovers, Jordan Brand is releasing a new high-top titled “Self Expression” featuring fade-away uppers.

While not a Nike SB sneaker or collaboration of any kind, we can’t help but be reminded of Lance Mountain’s Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 from 2014. The Nike skater touched down with a black colorway that faded to black/red on the left and black/royal on the right shoe, debuting a quality that’s been revisited several times since on Mike’s first signature.

The “Self Expression” Jordan 1 High follows a similar formula. Three layers of paint are applied, starting with an all-black exterior. Zooming in on this initial image set, it appears that the Swoosh fades to blue while bordering panels fade to red. Lastly, at its core, the third and final layer cleans up in white. With all that in play, customization possibilities are seemingly endless.

The Air Jordan 1 High “Self Expression” is expected to release August 9th, 2025 in adult and GS sizes, priced at $180 for adults. Enjoy first look images below and stick with us for further updates.

Elsewhere on our Jordan Release Dates calendar, the Nike SB Jordan 4 “Navy” hits Nike SNKRS on April 15th.
