The big-bubbled classic is back.

The Nike Air Max 95 “Olympic” Is Returning In 2026

With the Big Bubble back in the fold, Nike is ready to open the floodgates and give the Air Max 95 a proper Retro for the first-time since the mid-2000s. One such drop of that era is the Air Max 95 “Olympic” from 2004; you can now expect these to return next year.

According to @brendandunne, this classic colorway is set to drop in 2026. First launching in conjunction with the 2004 Olympics in Athens, this running classic made use of the five primary colors of the rings and placed them onto the upper striping that defined the sneaker. Blackm blue, green, red, and yellow appear in order, with the lace eyelets further celebrating the statement colors. The Air unit was colored in with gold, while the AIRMAX tongue label featured horizontal stripes, perhaps a nod to the home country of the Games in Greece.

The Air Max 95 “Olympic” wasn’t as scarce as its compatriots of the era, often popping up on eBay (like the one pictured below). This era of 95s didn’t age particularly well and was prone to the midsoles falling apart quickly due to dried glues. If you’re the nostalgic type, there are plenty to scoop on eBay, or you can just wait until they return next year.
