The Nike Air Max 1 Golf Unearths A “Purple Punch” Look From The Huarache

Two of Tinker Hatfield's creations collide.

The Nike Air Max 1 Golf Unearths A “Purple Punch” Look From The Huarache

As a surefire inclusion on Nike’s Mount Rushmore of most influential silhouettes, the Nike Air Max 1 is more used to being duplicated or imitated than doing any sort of impressions itself. However, that’s exactly what the Air-fueled icon is taking on for Summer 2025, pinning the “Purple Punch” colorway from the Huarache onto its Air Max 1 Golf build.

While some of what we qualify as intra-brand tributes from Nike product to Nike product can be in somewhat of a grey area, there’s no denying the inspiration here. Circle back to the “Hyper Grape” Huarache‘s last release in 2022 to cross compare; you’ll find that the off-tone overlays, royal purple bootie and black outsole line up one-to-one on the Air Max 1 Golf, of course shifted a bit to befit the compositional differences between the two models. As with any of its fairway-tooled colorways, the spiked traction underfoot ensure that this tribute to the 90’s is simultaneously well-suited for your next round of 18.

Look for the Nike Air Max 1 Golf “Purple Punch” hitting Nike.com in the coming weeks, retailing for $150. Catch official images embedded below.
