Nike Is Bringing Back The Shox R4 “USA”

First seen in 2020, now back with minor changes.

Nike Is Bringing Back The Shox R4 “USA”

With the 4th of July now just a few months out, we’re beginning to unravel Nike’s plans for celebrating Independence Day. On top of a “USA” Air Max 90, the Beaverton brand is bringing back arguably one of the best Shox R4s ever; the red, white, and blue “USA” colorway from 2020.

We’ve got a different SKU this time around, but design is mostly the same. Navy sidewalls host a red Swoosh featuring a white border, red Shox pillars appear at the heel, and white leather/mesh makes up most of the upper section. The only real change appears on the outsole, now presented in black with circular red accents.

Notably, while not tied to Vince Carter in any official capacity, we can’t help but be reminded of the basketball star’s showing with Team USA at the 2000 Olympics. After signing with Nike and becoming the face of Shox basketball sneakers a month prior, Carter made history with the “Dunk Of Death” wearing the Shox BB4 (the basketball version of the R4).

The Nike Shox R4 “USA” doesn’t have a confirmed release date yet, but if you’re one to read tea leaves, the 2020 release hit shelves around July 4th. Stick with us for updates as we creep closer to Independence Day.
