The Nike ACG Mountain Fly Low GTX Continues Its Comeback In “Khaki/Barely Volt”

In case you missed it, Nike ACG is bringing back the original Mountain Fly Low in new looks for 2025. Joining black, red, and “College Grey” colorways in the brand’s release queue is this “Khaki/Barely Volt” option, emerging right on time for peak hiking season.

The predecessor to the Mountain Fly Low 2, the model features an elastic upper crafted from weather-resistant GORE-TEX material. Pull tabs over the tongue and heel make for an easy slip-on, while rope laces envelop the upper, including the heel, through a series of fabric loops. Underfoot, the model features Nike React cushioning, rugged tread, and an internal carbon fiber plate for stability.

While many are surely pleased to see the Mountain Fly Low return to shelves, the timing behind the move raises some questions. The Mountain Fly Low 2 has been an ACG mainstay since taking over in 2022, but new colorways have been lacking since mid-2024. Might the OG Mountain Fly be positioned to take its place? And on that same note, what about a potential third model in the series? All questions we’re looking forward to answering in the coming months.

Back to the sneaker at hand, the Nike ACG Mountain Fly Low GTX “Khaki/Barely Volt” is due out Summer 2025 (before the end of June) for $180. See official images below if you’re considering copping.
