We’ve seen this cadence plenty in the Beaverton halls: a model is ushered back into the catalog by leveraging its OG looks before modern aesthetics begin to take hold that may have never seemed possible in its original run. So as the Nike ACG Rufus completes its initial deliveries of simplistic palettes, it’s time to get weird.

Beginning with a denim build, itself a divergence from the classic suede that paced its 2000s colorways, the ACG Rufus takes on a gradient from purple to green, almost evoking Aurora Borealis shades that’d well align with its outdoorsy bonafides. Look underfoot for a pop of classic ACG vibrancy, utilizing neon green on the core of its outsole traction.

The Nike ACG Rufus in green and purple will likely hit SNKRS in the coming weeks, though previously teased “Light Armory Blue” and “Bold Berry” pairs are expected to be next up in the model’s release cadence. Regardless of when this pair materializes, be ready for a $110 retail price.
