Rakeem Miles Embarks On A Three-Shoe Journey With K-Swiss

K-Swiss has always held onto a varied rolodex, bringing franchises from Magic: The Gathering to Bape in alongside individuals from Gary Vee to Lil Jupiter. However, parsing through their recent collaborations, their outside partners are getting the opportunity for far more expansive takeovers, seen when they joined up with futuristic outfit OGR for a brand new 3D printed silhouette, the Rattlesnake. As news of their partnership with Rakeem Miles hits the wire, the Baltimore multi-hyphenate is getting the same treatment, set to drop three signature sneakers throughout 2025.

While you can draw some comparisons to inline models like the ST329 CMF or the Techna Trainer, what Rakeem Miles and K-Swiss cook up for the initial delivery is an earnest step into new territory for the tennis-focused brand. Built on a chunky, molded sole, the mixed media lean of the upper, combining textured suede and a mesh foundation, is an embrace of throwback tech runners, a vertical largely devoid from the brand’s catalog.

As for the colorway, a a naturalistic combo of rich brown, bright orange a variety of grassy greens, you’ll have to look to Miles’ end. It’s all a reference to his “Getting Out Of The Woods” full-length, providing an intriuging chance to loop in both his first signature shoe alongside promo for that project. Yet there’s organic inspiration at the heart of this collab:

“Growing up in foster care, one of my first gifts during my adoption was a pair of orange K-Swiss shoes. That moment has stayed with me ever since, and my grandmother later bought me various other pairs of K-Swiss shoes. The brand represents a meaningful part of my childhood and journey,”

The first release in the K-Swiss x Rakeem Miles partnership drops on May 30th via the brand’s site. Catch on-white shots of the shoes themselves included below.
