The Nike A’One “Leo Light” Releases On May 29th

As you’ve been taking in the NBA playoffs, you’ve likely caught one of Nike’s newest promotional efforts: the “One Of A’Kind” spot that flips nursery rhymes and schoolyard games into a mantra for Ms. A’ja Wilson. Assuredly spotlighting the 3-time MVP will be even more of a priority as the WNBA regular season tips off, providing an on-court opportunity to spotlight the bevy of colorways for the Nike A’One, including the “Leo Lights” at hand.

If you get a sense of deja vu from this release, don’t fret — it is, indeed, the “Hyper Pink” pair that surfaced as the official unveil of the A’One truly kicked off this year. While the radial swatches of black surrounding the spine of the shoe obviously make these distinct from the “Pink Aura,” it’s largely the same color story being told. Wilson’s love for pink will remain a major theme throughout the silhouette regardless of successive shoes’ layouts: it’s been front and center of the packaging of each pair so far.

However, note the switch up in title, as the A’One “Leo Lights” calls to the Aces superstar’s sun sign. Nike called out that connection in official press as well, citing the connection between pink and her “confidence, loyalty, and passion” as proof of her fire sign energy.

As mentioned above, the Nike A’One “Leo Lights” releases on May 29th via Nike.com and partnering retailers in adults’ and GS sizes, clocking in at $110 and $90, respectively.
