First Look At The Nike Giannis Freak 7 “Grey/Volt”

Is this the best Giannis shoe yet?

First Look At The Nike Giannis Freak 7 “Grey/Volt”

Once the NBA Finals wrap up, the focus of the basketball world will turn to where Giannis Antetokounmpo might land in a potential trade. With Milwaukee’s championship window closing due to Dame Lillard’s injury and a number of expiring contracts, the two-time MVP is reportedly “open-minded” about changing teams for the first time in his career. While it remains to be seen where the Greek Freak will play next season, we certainly know what sneakers he’ll be lacing up. The Nike Giannis Freak 7, Antetokounmpo’s latest signature basketball model, is here unveiled in a “Grey/Volt” colorway expected to release in 2025.

This isn’t our first look at the new Giannis Antetokounmpo shoe; that was provided by the man himself on social media back in March. The Minnesota Timberwolves are a long shot to land Giannis in the offseason, but we’d remiss to ignore how well this “Grey/Volt” colorway aligns with their Statement Edition uniforms. Patterned navy blue fabric makes up the upper portion, matched by more blue placements on the inner lining and tongue. Bright “Volt” outlining on the reverse Swoosh and tongue logos adds some welcome energy, while the model’s Hyperdunk-esque, wavy midsole cleans up in grey. Underfoot, a custom outsole featuring Antetokounmpo’s last name balances between grey and pale white.

Nike hasn’t announced release information for the Giannis Freak 7 yet, but the sneaker is expected to debut during the Fall/Holiday 2025 shopping season. We’ll circle back with a specific date for this “Grey/Volt” colorway as soon as we learn more. For now, enjoy official images below.
