Detailed Look At The Air Jordan 11 “Rare Air”

Updated August 11th, 2025: A detailed look at the upcoming Air Jordan 11 “Rare Air” has been revealed. Currently, a release is expected in October in adult and GS sizing.

Jordan Brand reportedly has seven (yes, seven) Air Jordan 11 releases laid out for the Holiday 2025 season. That’s an Air Jordan 11 nearly every other week, a stark contrast to its scarcity and therefore the aura surrounding what many considered to be the most beautiful basketball shoe ever.

Gone are the days where the calendar year ended on a mega-high note with the annual AJXI; with bottom lines needing to be met, Jordan Brand spread the Air Jordan 11’s wings with a broad catalog of colorways for mens, womens, and kids, following closely a formula for the Air Jordan 1 that, despite inflating revenue, killed the model.

The Air Jordan 11 “Rare Air” is simply an alternate take on the unreleased version that featured the JORDAN text on the lace-eyelets. It features a blue mudguard, black interior, hits of red on the Jumpman, and a touch of yellow on the roped laces and the translucent outsole. For those keen on the history of unreleased Jordan samples, these somewhat resemble the “Twilight Blue” sample from 2000.

This first look doesn’t come as much of a surprise as it closely matches mock-ups that have been shared by @zsneakerheadz. Currently, a release date is expected on October 1st.
