Andrew Rizzo Nike is continuing to flush out its modern road running lineup with the Structure 26; the latest model in the brand’s stability and support-focused series.
Aesthetically and tech-wise, the sneaker differs greatly from its predecessor. The Nike Structure 26 introduces a full ReactX foam midsole, offering stability and comfort without relying on traditional rigid materials. A new mesh upper with added collar and tongue padding enhances fit and flexibility, while working with a zonal outsole for all-around performance. Durable rubber in key areas ensures long-lasting traction and a smooth ride for runners at any level.
Ashley Campbell, Expert Product Line Manager, Nike Running, states: “Evolving the Structure 25 to its newest iteration took balancing consistency with runner-right improvements. Based on consumer insights as well as data from the NSRL, we saw an opportunity to improve the heel-to-toe transition of the shoe as well as the step-in feel to deliver support that doesn’t sacrifice comfort. Additionally, with this new design, we aimed to blend performance with style to give runners a shoe they could look and feel good in.”
The Structure 26 sits alongside the Vomero 18 and Pegasus 41 in the icon tier of the brand’s revamped road running lineup. Each series is tailored to a specific need, with the Pegasus focusing on responsiveness and Vomero focusing on Max cushioning. As has been the case since the 1990s, Nike Structure sneakers are for those after stable, firm, yet comfortable footwear. Nike will follow up with Structure Plus and Structure Premium models later down the line, likely in late 2025 or 2026.
