The Nike Shox Ride 2 Strips Down In “Light Bone”

Just like its peers in the Shox R4 and Shox TL, the Nike Shox Ride 2 hasn’t been afraid to get creative throughout its current retro run. Denim, pre-aged, and all-leather styles make up just a handful of the standout releases we’ve been tracking in recent months, thus driving the Y2K runner further into the lifestyle genre. At the same time, Nike isn’t shorting consumers at all when it comes to simple, traditional makeups.

Striking a low-key note, this upcoming colorway comes almost entirely in “Light Bone” with black accents on the Swoosh and Shox cushioning. Focus is therefore heightened on the models quirky tooling, with elaborate TPU/leather layering catching the eye up top. Two key Nike Running innovations make for all-day comfort underfoot; Shox in the heel and Zoom Air in the forefoot.

Perhaps the biggest thing working against the Shox Ride 2 is its cost. The model retails for $190, placing it among sought-after Jordans and premium New Balance models in one of the highest sneaker pricing tiers. With that being said, if you call upon the model for daily wear, you could argue that there’s some decent value to be had.

The Nike Shox Ride 2 “Light Bone” doesn’t have a firm release date, but we’re anticipating a Summer/Fall 2025 arrival for the model’s standard $190. See official images below if you’re considering scooping up a pair.
