The China-Exclusive Nike ST Flare Basketball Shoe Launches In June

Nike is continuing to ride the growth of basketball in China with the Nike ST Flare; a new country-exclusive hoops shoe geared toward playing outdoors. Shortly after Nike seeded pairs to Chinese creators and sneaker media, we’ve uncovered a compelling gradient colorway supposedly factoring into the model’s rollout.

The Nike ST Flare features a TPU shank for stability and full-length herringbone tread underfoot; an ideal design for playing on outdoor surfaces. The midsole is comprised of Cushlon 3.0 foam with an Air Zoom unit in the forefoot, offering energy return and a responsive, comfortable wear. Moving up, the base made of lightweight mesh with reinforced zones in high-wear areas. Rounding out the hardware, Flywire cables and a lateral guardrail support containment of the foot.

In a rather fitting look for an outdoor-minded model, this “Black/Space Clay/Yellow” colorway goes from dusk to dawn with a multicolor gradient. The left shoe moves from blue to orange from the front-back, while the right features the same colors but in opposite order. Mismatched blue and red insoles continue the theme, while rugged white mesh makes up the top of the upper. Underfoot, the segmented sole unit cleans up in black shades.

The Nike ST Flare will be available on nike.com in China starting June 1st, with this “Black/Space Clay/Yellow” colorway earmarked for the Summer/Fall 2025 window. The sneaker is priced ¥899, which roughly translates to $125. See official images below and visit our Sneaker Release Dates page to browse other upcoming hoops shoes.
