Sneaker News Updated September 18th, 2025: Official images of the Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 “Court Purple” have surfaced. Originally expected to launch on Mamba Day (August 24th), these shoes have yet to hit retail. However, they are expected to release during the Holiday ’25 season for $130.
Updated June 12th, 2025: More images of the Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 “Court Purple” aka “Forever Purple” have been uploaded. Here we get a full look at the backtabs, with the left reading “8” and right reading “24” for Kobe’s two jersey numbers. No release date has been confirmed at the time of this update, but it’s suspected the sneaker could drop on Mamba Day 2025 (August 24th). Kobe Bryant and the Air Force 1 have been a match made in heaven. With Nike Sportswear unleashing this collaborative series with the Kobe Brand, the Swoosh has successfully expanded the influence of the Black Mamba beyond his epic signature shoe line and into his personal favorite off-court model. Later this Fall, the Kobe Bryant Nike Air Force 1 “Court Purple” is expected to release, and today we bring you a first look.
Draped in a monochromatic purple colorway, this Air Force 1 screams Laker loyalty with snakeskin textures covering the entirety of the upper. Not even a hit of yellow sneaks in, although the only break comes from the matte silver lace dubrae that reads “Forever”. Additional bits of Kobe ephemera appear via the number 8 embroidered on the heel, replacing the standard Nike Air branding. As more detailed images of this upcoming release emerge, we’ll be sure to update the finer dressings. Also worth nothing that an all-white colorway of this same style is also expected to launch.
Currently, a firm release date has not yet been revealed, but a drop could come on or around Mamba Day aka Kobe Bryant Day on August 24th, 2025.
