The adidas “Made In Italy” Line Expands With A $400 adidas Italia

The Three Stripes’ “Made In Italy” program has been firing on all cylinders as of late. A handful of Sambas, Gazelles, and Superstars have gotten ultra-premium makeovers since last year, supplementing the brand’s inline releases with a smattering of luxury. The latest silhouette to enter the “Made In Italy” cannon is a sensible one; the adidas Italia from the 1960s.

Fitting well among other slim-soled adidas Originals like the Japan and Taekwondo, the adidas Italia rose to prominence during the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome although the silhouette itself launched in 1959. In one word, these things are thin. A flexible leather upper is paired with a slim sole featuring herringbone tread, joined by a protective rubber toe cap. Serrated “X” overlays appear on the heel, while a layer of leather “padding” is affixed to the ankle. This “Core White/Green/Cream White” colorway actually released back in 2001, although that edition featured a suede t-toe overlay. Given the slim sneaker trend and premium materials utilized here, we can see these being a big hit among the high-fashion crowd.

As a “Made In Italy” sneaker, the adidas Italia “Core White/Green/Cream White” commands a lofty price tag of $400. The sneaker will release via adidas CONFIRMED and retailers like END. Clothing on June 17th, 2025. See our Where To Buy section below to enter raffles before then.
