Anwar Carrots Named Creative Director Of K-Swiss Racquet Club

It’s abundantly clear that K-Swiss is set on getting back into the lifestyle conversation, launching full-court press efforts one after another. Following news of their partnership with Rakeem Miles, an alliance with a bold, unorthodox inclusion of multiple signature silhouettes, they’re teeing up another splashy announcement: welcoming Anwar Carrots as the creative director of their new pinnacle sub-label, KSRC.

Already well-traveled in the sneaker industry via collaborations with PUMA, DC, and Crocs, the multi-hyphenate and brand founder now adds another sprawling title, already confirmed to include four seasonal releases in the coming months. However, there’s some natural, organic chemistry between the two partners already, as Anwar details:

“I’m not just collaborating — I’m contributing to the rebirth of a legacy. It’s always part of my vision to align with heritage brands that have real roots. My role now is about bringing heritage, culture, and clean white tennis shoes straight from my creative garden. I had to take it back — I placed my mind in 1998, back to being 8 years old in Orlando, Florida,” Anwar says. “My dad used to rock K-Swiss heavy, and the way he’d coordinate his outfits with a fresh white pair was always clean to me. That memory is what shaped this collection.”

While the brand’s heritage remains at the core of all of the offerings in this first delivery, what’s immediately apparent is how some of these reimagined models tap into trendy aesthetics across multiple corners of the footwear world. The Konejo stands as an answer to tech runners, the Before the Classic issues a full embrace of thin-soled, “low pro” silhouettes, and the SI-18 International C abuts chunky skate shoes. Rounding out the collection, the Gstaad Gold takes on an earthy, workwear-inspired colorway, the Classic 66 executes a sleek, glossy makeover, and the Slammklub almost echoes designer DNA with a vibrant red upper and gum bottom.

The first release in the Anwar Carrots-headed KSRC (K-Swiss Racquet Club) collection is due out on July 10th.
