With a bit of help from partners like CNCPTS and A$AP Rocky, the model has taken on 3D-printed hardware, ballet footwear trends, revived Disc technology, and easy-on mule construction. As that one year anniversary looms, there’s absolutely no signs of slowing down for the PUMA Mostro, now looking to jelly shoes for yet another fresh variation.
Taking after the translucent, PVC-formed “jellies” often seen in women’s footwear, the spiky shoe makes a hard 180 towards a polar opposite squishy layout. Fabric hook-and-loop closures add security to the one-piece upper, the only interruptions to an otherwise all-synthetic makeup. Helping bolster this tinkered model’s standout appeal are two vibrant colorways, “Peaceful Blue” and “Lemon Sherbet.”
