A Sunrise Fade Appears On The Nike Air Max Sunder

Deja vu all over again?

A Sunrise Fade Appears On The Nike Air Max Sunder

For those with high hopes for how Alpha Project oddities could perform in the modern sneaker landscape, the retro of the Nike Air Max Sunder has likely been tepid at best. As always, there’s a glass half full takeaway hidden inside of that, allowing the “real heads” to easily scoop up whichever Sunder looks speak to them most.

However, more experimental designs taking hold on the model could motivate a second wind for the silhouette as it enters year two on the market. Though we couldn’t fault you for mistaking the “Bright Crimson” pair at hand for one of the original public colorways, in truth, it takes the upper of the shoe between sunset shades, exemplifying the increasing prominence of gradients on the late 90s product. Pair these ombre looks with some adjacent aesthetic swings, and it’s easy to trace how the Sunder could find better fortune if Nike can maintain pressure with more creative cook-ups.

The Nike Air Max Sunder is set to hit shelves sometime in July 2025, clocking in with women’s exclusive sizing and a $180 retail price.
