The Nike LeBron NXXT Genisus Approaches An “Olympics” Look

A recent LeBron signature goes global, even if he likely won't make 2028.

The Nike LeBron NXXT Genisus Approaches An “Olympics” Look

Even after checking off an NBA season at 40 years old, it still feels like LeBron James may just play forever. Of course, at some point The King will have to hang them up, but his lifetime deal with Nike ensures that his legacy in footwear will continue long after he’s off the court. We’ll leave speculation on the future of his signature line for another day, but his roster of adjacent models help chart a path forward for LeBron James shoes post-LeBron.

Coming off the heels of a new group of LeBron TR 1 colorways, his takedown LeBron NXXT Genisus now adds a fresh look to its initial set. Carrying a similar Air Zoom Generation style shape to its predecessor, the NXXT Gen AMPD, pushes the burgeoning line forward with jagged geometric patterns throughout its layered mesh upper. Fulfilling the “takedown” role, you won’t get the same exact tooling as on the LeBron 22, but a midfoot plate and Air Zoom ensure LeBron-approved hardware all the same. Finally, to touch on the aesthetics, the red and blue combination immediately draws to mind the Kid From Akron’s historic run with Team USA, further solidified with a gold medal flourish on one of the doubled Swooshes.

The Nike LeBron NXXT Genisus at hand will likely hit Nike.com in short order, commanding a $155 retail price.
