Sneaker News If there’s any indication of history repeating itself, look no further than the Nike Dunk. Twice, it was the hottest shoe on the market. Twice, Nike oversaturated the market for a money grab. Twice, it’s fallen out of favor completely. It’s disappointing to see the lessons of the past not being passed down to the future, but it’s difficult to see this model re-live this moment for a third time.
Still. Nike ain’t going anywhere with this model. Despite promises of scaling back production, the Dunk is still very much part of the scene as new colorways for men, women, and kids continue to spill out of the channels. At least Nike is being more selective, because the one’s we’re seeing have been solid to say the least; this upcoming “Silver Swoosh” brings a combo of subtlety and flash via the light grey suede upper and the metallic logo, making for a palatable option.
