While much of the “Year Of The Snake” sneakers tend to drop earlier in the calendar year, Saucony is saving a gem for a later 2025 release. A first look at the Saucony Progrid Omni 9 “Glowaconstrictor” has surfaced ahead of the drop featuring a slithery concept that represents the clam and strategic nature of the reptile.
According to Saucony Senior Lead Designer @kodowar on Instagram, the “Glowaconstrictor” is inspired by the iridescent and metallic surfaces found in nature. Blending these visual strikes on the multi-layered retro-tech construction of the Progrid Omni 9, Saucony makes use of contrasting patterns of snake scales on the green toe-guard and multi-colored upper, while a scaly mesh base is laid beneath the green-shaded overlay. While the shoes have currently surfaced overseas, an official launch date is expected later in 2025.
