The sneaker industry as a whole seems intent on pushing the soccer shoe wave to its absolute max. While adidas continues to pump out soccer-inspired styles and New Balance stays on-trend with the slim-soled 204L lifestyle model, Nike is once again tapping into its archive with another 2000s footy pull. Now that the Nike Total 90 series is back in the fold, the Beaverton brand is tapping the cult-favorite Total 90 Shox Secutor Magia for a retro run.
Shown here on the feet of Veneda Carter, who herself is in the midst of an Air Max Muse collab series, the Shox Secutor Magia oozes Y2K aesthetics for days. Originally released in 2003, the indoor soccer shoe combines classic pitch vibes with what was once regarded as Nike’s most innovative running technology. You’d be right to think of these as Nike’s answer to the adidas Predator Megaride; equal in both soccer lore, quirky cushioning, and relevancy as it pertains to today’s sneaker zeitgeist.
Veneda Carter shares a lone “Metallic Silver/Black” Total 90 Shox Secutor Magia with blue Shox pillars, but we’re hearing that several colorways are expected to roll out during the Fall 2025 shopping season. We’ll go live with another update once official images and firm release details become available. For now, enjoy detailed images below.
