Andrew Rizzo The Nike LeBron 20 has been off shelves for a few years now, but in a rather surprising development, we’re learning that the “Pink Diamond” PE worn by Bron in the 2022 Drew League is getting a public release.
This headline comes a day after Bronny James wore the sneaker in a Summer League game, offering another example of Nike’s special treatment of The King’s son (which really shouldn’t surprise anyone). LeBron Sr. famously laced these up in Drew League competition in 2022; his first time playing in the Los Angeles summer pro-am since the NBA lockout in 2011. Alongside Compton native DeMar Derozan, LeBron lit up the gym with 42 points and 16 rebounds in a 104-102 win.
Nike Basketball did in fact release a “Pink Diamond” LeBron 20 in 2022, but these go in a different direction design-wise. Save for a dash of metallic silver on the Swoosh borders, monochrome pink treatments encapsulate the entire design. While the public version featured a leather upper, these opt for the model’s alternative mesh composition.
The Nike LeBron 20 “Pink Diamond” aka “Drew League” is set to release August 1st via Nike and retailers, priced at $210. We’ll go live with another update once official images become available.
