The New Balance 1906U Returns For Fall 2025

Back in the spotlight.

The New Balance 1906U Returns For Fall 2025

Barring something truly unexpected, there’s no world in which the New Balance 1906R as a whole disappears from the footwear world anytime soon. However, now supporting half a dozen offshoot models, some of those branches have certainly waxed and waned. Outside of a CNCPTS-supported three-pack, the New Balance 1906U has fallen into a fallow period so far in 2025, but new shots of a sprightly grey and light teal indicate that it could be on its way back up.

The additional overlays and hardened weather-proof foundation of the “U” make it a better fit for colder weather, truthfully, likely helping to explain its S/S absence. Doubling down on those chilly bonafides, icy tonality helps bring life to an otherwise naturally toned profile, wedged into the AZBORB cushioning under the heel and in various flares of branding that dot this design. Otherwise, it’s a familiar blend of “Grey Days” hues, led by pure white that should make these a fit for wear in the closing of the summer months despite its heavy-duty hardware.

The New Balance 1906U in grey and light teal hasn’t been assigned a concrete release date just yet, but expect this pair to hit shelves for Fall 2025. Catch detailed shots below and keep our Sneaker Release Dates page within reach for further updates.
