Andrew Rizzo It appears we’re now in one of those awkward seasonal disconnect periods that comes with tracking upcoming footwear. While we’re currently enjoying summer’s peak in our corner of the world, we’re already getting first looks at autumn-appropriate Nikes anticipated for later down the line. Following a barrage of Air Force 1s like a newly-uncovered camo colorway, the Vomero 5 is charting its path in rugged “Olive Flak” makeup.
The “Olive Flak” hue appears on suede overlays from heel-to-toe, also settling on the cage at the quarter of both sides. Bright “Picante Red” accents on the Swoosh, tongue tag, and insoles bring these to life, fulfilling a nostalgic hiking shoe vibe akin to that of Nike ACG footwear. The base, heel counter, and entire sole unit appear in black, while workwear-like laces make for a compelling finishing touch.
