The hits are hits for a reason. While sometimes we can get fatigued from the unending deluge of Y2K footwear, it’d be counterfactual to say that it’s not in the best interest of every brand with a retro runner to not lean into the punch as the aesthetic continues to be among the dominant trends in footwear.

It’s clearly something that Nike, Inc. isn’t shying away from, tackling the concept with fresher formulations like the V5 RNR or Jordan Trunner O/S and its stable of firmer established icons. The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 continues to lead the pack on the Swoosh’s end, doubling down on its throwback composition with a “Metallic Silver” women’s colorway. A chrome Swoosh, already a frequent touch in the backlog, meets off-white mesh meets a similarly steely mesh foundation, contrasted well enough by cream coatings on the TPU heel cip and quarter cage.

The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 is expected to release sometime in the Fall 2025 window, retailing for $170 upon arrival.
