The DTLR-Exclusive New Balance 530 “Silver Azure” Is Just For Kids

Chalk it up to its $100 price tier if you’d like, but the New Balance 530 is often overlooked when it comes to “best current New Balance” model discussions. In truth, it’s done more than enough to deserve a seat at the table, already among the most frequent everyday on-foot sights in metro areas and a true driver of the brand’s other endeavors, seen as the New Balance 204L followed in the footsteps of the various Miu Miu link-ups the 530 boasts. However, the latest development for the silhouette sees it expanding its range, now rolling out exclusively for kids with the DTLR New Balance 530 “Silver Azure.”

Though you’ll find select New Balance 530 colorways up for grabs in kids’ sizing, DTLR cuts against the grain by minting pairs specifically for the younger demo without a grown-up counterpart. Though you’ll immediately spot both the tones implied in the title on this shoe, the Maryland-headquartered retailer utilizes novel color-blocking for their application, using the brightened blue as trim on the collar and sole. In between, a steely yet familiar combination of grey and off-white handles the mesh foundation and leather overlays.

The New Balance 530 “Silver Azure” releases on August 1st via DTLR in-store and online, retailing for $80 in GS sizing, $75 in pre-school, and $65 in toddlers’.
