The adidas DON Issue #7 Ventures Into Pitch Black

Standard issue colors for a model that's anything but.

The adidas DON Issue #7 Ventures Into Pitch Black

Donovan Mitchell isn’t devoid of lights out performances by any means. His legend started essentially from the jump, eliminating a far more talented Oklahoma City squad in his playoff debut and only building since then; his historic duel versus Jamal Murray in the bubble, becoming just one of seven players to surpass 70 points, notching another 50-ball in the 2024 playoffs against Orlando.

While his Cavaliers are yet to break the barrier in the postseason, the East’s relative weakness this year means his usual postseason heroics could be enough to propel a deep run. Could that be the inspiration behind the darkened version of the adidas DON Issue #7? It’s certainly possible, but more likely that the Three Stripes is simply tooling Spida’s latest silhouette with an always-stylish monochromatic edition. Even united in the dark, the various performance aspects that have hoopers exalting the shoe as Don’s best yet shine through, including the stippled Three Stripes branding that cuts into the midsole, the curvilinear grid at the toe, and the shroud/bootie containment unit.

The adidas DON Issue #7 in all black is set to release on August 1st, retailing for its standard $120 MSRP. The attached “Where To Buy” section ahead will be updated with direct pick-up links upon arrival.
