Matt Varga Ishod Wair has been a mainstay of the skateboarding scene for more than a decade, dating back to taking home Thrasher’s Skater of the Year honors in 2013. However, his catalog of footwear is much younger, only venturing on his second silhouette in 2024. However, it’s truly been a quality over quantity proposition, among the more well performing current signature SB models in no small part due to its combo of SB bonafides and Air Max cushioning.
Strong colorway options are only the icing on the cake for the Nike SB Air Max Ishod 2, again dressed to impress in a new “Court Purple” edition. The titular concord is centered on the collar and various smaller hits down the midsole, while the synthetic upper in white contrasts a mudguard/sole pairing in jet black. Already established as a favored color combo for the skater, the easily digestible base for this shoe is suitably accented by the royal tones above it, only enhancing the mixed media notes like the see-through mid-foot window and suede eye-stays.
