Jordan Brand is bringing “Georgetown” colors to the Air Jordan 1 Mid… sort of. The blue shade isn’t an exact match, and the Jumpman logos break from the collegiate palette in lively “Hot Lava.” Even still, students and alumni might find a winner in this easy-to-grab Fall 2025 delivery.
The Air Jordan 1 ’85 “Georgetown” from 2022 seems like the most appropriate comparison here. Inverting that shoe’s color blocking, this mid-top comes with a “Blue Void” base and “Summit White” leather overlays. The blue shade is a touch brighter than that of most “Georgetown” Jordans, and again, all the Jumpman logos appear in “Hot Lava.”
Since we’re already on the subject, Michael Jordan’s first signature model has a somewhat intertwined history with Georgetown. 1985 saw the debut of three game-changing Nike Basketball models; the Air Jordan 1, Nike Dunk, and for our purposes, the Nike Terminator. The Terminator was the model of choice for the Georgetown Hoyas, who went into the 1985 season as the defending NCAA champions. More importantly, Jordan 1 designer Peter Moore actually made a “Hoyas” Jordan 1 sample in the 1980s, which ultimately resulted in the aforementioned Jordan 1 ’85 a few years back.
