Sneaker News Storytelling still remains the backbone of the Air Jordan legacy, and in 2012, the Jumpman sought out to re-tell the epic tale of Jordan’s achievements on the Olympic stage. The “Golden Moments” Pack, originally dropping in 2012, consisted of the Air Jordan 6 and Air Jordan 7 dressed in golden colorways that called back to the game-changing Defining Moments Pack of 2006. The Air Jordan 7 was, of course, famously worn by MJ during the 1992 Games in Barcelona, whereas the Air Jordan 6 saw its action in 2000 thanks to Jordan athlete Ray Allen.
Fast forward to 2025, and Jordan Brand seems to be repurposing this colorway for the Jordan MVP 92, the latest silhouette in the family of Air Jordan off-shoots. It carries the same color package of black, gold, and sail, although the more recent model opts for a full suede upper and black interiors and bottoms. Much of the heavy lifting, however, is done via the gold and sail peaks on the midsole, which clearly nod back to this forgotten release.
The Jordan MVP 92 isn’t making the loudest blips on the sneaker radar, but if you’re keen on this model, look out for a release something this Holiday ’25 season for $145.
