Jean Paul Gaultier Announces Crocs Collaboration

Multiple years into their renaissance as one of the foremost players in the footwear world, it’s hard for anything that Crocs puts out to truly surprise us. Their collaborative arm may be the most diverse going, pulling from every direction for link-ups with anime series, pop stars, streetwear brands, and everything in between. However, if there’s one lane where they’re still building out their catalog, it’s with high fashion. Now bolstering work with Simone Rocha and Balenciaga, Crocs and Jean Paul Gaultier are joining arms, set to drop a three-part collection.

The designer’s touch is immediate and apparent across all three colorways displayed here. Naturally, first up is the Classic Clog, revamped in an all black leather arrangement where the sole piece of flair comes from an oversized “Gaultier” spell-out safety pin. Shift over to the Bae Clog for a far more disruptive design, pinning wavy fabric sidewalls atop the pltaform model and tacking on a traditional sneaker lacing system. Though partially obscured in stylized campaign images, we can additionally make out a buckled strap that reaches across the midfoot. Finally, potentially a new silhouette debuts to close the trio, with a mid-cut clog bearing paisley print and off-white trim at the collar and sole unit.

Though no concrete date for the Jean Paul Gaultier x Crocs collection has surfaced just yet, an official announcement on both Crocs and Gaulteir’s part indicates that launch likely isn’t far behind. While we await more solidified info, peruse what the partners will have on offer via the campaign shots included below.
