Andrew Rizzo There’s no denying that the Bape shark is one of the most iconic streetwear motifs of all time. We’ve seen it on tees, we’ve seen it on full-zip hoodies, and for our purposes, we’ve seen it on sneakers. In revisiting one of its most well-known graphics, the Japanese imprint is coming out with a fresh collection of shark Bapestas on August 9th.
Here we have three colorways; white, black, and purple. The shark teeth appear under the STA logo on both sides of each shoe, complemented by eyes on the heel panel so as to complete a full illustration. Patent leather STA overlays provide a slight elevated touch, while the Ape – Bape’s other iconic insignia, materializes on metallic silver lace dubraes.
All three Bape Bapesta “Shark” colorways release August 9th via the Bape website, priced at JP¥29000 (roughly $200 USD). See official images below if you’re a fan.
